Growth Stories is proud to feature Eileen Lin!
Eileen is a 22-year-old University of Central Florida graduate from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She has faced the challenge of comparing herself to others all throughout high school and college. This self-degrading type of comparison left her with low self-esteem and she struggled to find her way. She has worked on redirecting comparison to her own past and present self instead of with other people.
She has shifted her negative thoughts into questions to ask herself such as, “what am I doing today that I couldn’t have done one year ago?”, “What were my wins this past year?”, “What bad habits have I stopped doing?”
Remember that you’ve got all the tools necessary to change your own life in big ways and live according to what makes you happy and sets your own soul on fire. Do not stay stuck living in compare and despair! It is important to take back your power from all the people, places, and situations where you’ve left it and bring that power back home to yourself.
We can’t wait to hear your growth stories as well! If you would like to contribute your authentic story about personal growth, please check here. We truly appreciate your time and intentions to help others #letgoandgrow. Thank you so much!
